After 19 years in the same premises in Mellomveien 4, we are moving BABEL into the renovated gymnasium at LKV. In preparation, BABEL will be closed until Autumn 2025 – stay tuned for the process and upcoming projects through our newsletter and social media.

The building next to LKV is the former gym building of the school and contains four apartments linked to the artist-in-residence program, with a 160 square meter gymnasium between them. It is this gymnasium with a height of six meters that we will convert into an exhibition space. As an artist-run exhibition space, Babel has an ambition to be a free space, open to experimentation, where artists can show what they want without unnecessary curatorial interference.
